• Day 1 – the departure from Moshi and the beginning of the trekking

    Virtually follow day by day my steps on the ascent of Kilimanjaro via the scenic Lemosho route.

    DAY 1

    Length: less than 5 km, just a warm up

    Altitude: from 2390 to 2750, we gain about 360 mt.


    After breakfast and briefing at the hotel we drive up to Londorossi Park Gate (2,250m). After park formalities the trail takes us to the forest with our 4WD vehicle leads to Lemosho Glades (2,390m) and a possible campsite. Walk along forest trails to Mti Mkubwa campsite thereafter dinner and overnight at Mti Mkubwa campsite.


    Edoardo Melchiori was born in Turin, graduated from an International Design School after a humanities college. Still at the university he won several International design awards for projects where his knowledge in interior design, graphic and photography lead to projects characterized by powerful concepts. His life changes after a severe accident that drives him into months of rehabilitation and an interior travel.
